...A STRONG WINTER STORM WILL IMPACT THE REGION THIS WEEKEND WITH
BLIZZARD CONDITIONS IN THE NORTHERN COLORADO MOUNTAINS...

.SNOWFALL WILL CONTINUE OVER SOUTHWEST FACING SLOPES OF THE WESTERN
COLORADO AND EASTERN UTAH MOUNTAINS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
WINDS WILL BECOME VERY STRONG THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...
ESPECIALLY OVER HIGHER ELEVATIONS...AS A COLD FRONT PASSES OVER
NORTHWEST COLORADO. SNOWFALL WILL BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES WITH THE
FRONT AND THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU WILL SWITCH FROM RAIN TO SNOW. A
LULL IN SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT. A SECOND STORM SYSTEM
WILL BRING ENHANCED SNOWFALL ON SUNDAY. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL
BE FELT OVER RABBIT EARS...GORE AND VAIL PASSES WHERE WHITEOUT
CONDITIONS AND HEAVILY DRIFTED SNOW ARE EXPECTED.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...8 TO 16 INCHES OF NEW SNOW IS EXPECTED BY
  MIDNIGHT SUNDAY NIGHT WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS ON EXPOSED WEST
  FACING RIDGES.

* WINDS...WEST AND INCREASING TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH FREQUENT GUSTS
  TO 50 MPH BY THIS EVENING INTO SUNDAY. GUSTS TO 60 MPH OR MORE
  ARE EXPECTED OVER VAIL AND TENNESSEE PASSES.

* VISIBILITY...FREQUENTLY LOWERING TO LESS THAN 1/2 MILE IN
  BLOWING SNOW THIS AFTERNOON INTO SUNDAY.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO BECOME DIFFICULT THIS BY THIS
  EVENING. ICY AND SNOWPACKED ROADWAYS WILL ALSO HAVE WIDESPREAD
  BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. VISIBILITY WILL BE VERY LOW AT TIMES.
