OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA TONIGHT. RAIN ACROSS SANTA BARBARA AND VENTURA
COUNTIES WILL SPREAD INTO LOS ANGELES COUNTIES OVERNIGHT. RAIN WILL
BE MOSTLY LIGHT TO MODERATE...ALTHOUGH LOCALLY HEAVIER EMBEDDED
SHOWERS ARE LIKELY. A STRONG UPPER LEVEL JET STREAM AND INCREASED
INSTABILITY WILL BRING A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TO THE
ENTIRE COASTAL WATERS OF SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...TO THE SOUTH COAST
OF SANTA BARBARA COUNTY AND TO COASTAL AREAS OF VENTURA AND LOS
ANGELES COUNTIES OVERNIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY. ANY THUNDERSTORMS
THAT DEVELOP WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BRING BRIEF HEAVY
DOWNPOURS...GUSTY WINDS...AND SMALL HAIL.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE GENERALLY EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM ONE QUARTER OF
AN INCH TO ONE INCH. THE HIGHEST TOTALS ARE EXPECTED TO BE FOCUSED
ACROSS COASTAL AREAS. LOCAL RAINFALL TOTALS OVER ONE INCH MAY OCCUR
IN LOCATIONS THAT RECEIVE THUNDERSTORMS.
SNOW LEVELS WILL BE BETWEEN 5500 AND 6000 FEET TONIGHT AND EARLY
SATURDAY...EXCEPT LOCALLY DOWN TO 5000 FEET ON INTERIOR SLOPES.
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ABOVE 5500 FEET.
WIND GUSTS OF BETWEEN 30 AND 40 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE
MOUNTAIN AREAS...WITH LOCAL GUSTS BETWEEN 25 AND 30 MPH ACROSS
