Join Wings Over Florida coordinator Andy Wraithmell on Friday April 24th for a Wings Over Florida field trip to the beautiful Apalachee Wildlife Management Area in Jackson County, Florida (Map of location).

124 species have been reported to eBird (Checklistfrom the property in recent years and late-April is a great time of year to see birds such as Bachman's Sparrows, Red-headed Woodpeckers, Eastern Wood-pewees, Orchard Orioles, Indigo Buntings, Least Bittern, King Rail, Yellow-breasted Chat and more! This field trip is perfect for beginning and intermediate birders introducing them to this fun rewarding program.

In the afternoon Andy will be holding a classroom presentation (Chipola College in Marianna) about the program as well as a Birding 101 class. At the end of the workshop participants will receive their Wings Over Florida certificate(s).

For more information about the field trip, workshop and festival visit the Chipola Feather Fest website and/or Facebook page.
