Roswell Felon Sentenced to Prison for Violating Federal Firearms Laws

ALBUQUERQUE – Carlos Franco, 35, of Roswell, N.M., was sentenced this afternoon in federal court in Las Cruces, N.M., to 27 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for violating the federal firearms laws.

Nampa Woman Pleads Guilty to Distribution of Methamphetamine

BOISE – Brandi Larrea, 31, of Nampa, Idaho, pleaded guilty today in United States District Court to distribution of methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced. Larrea was indicted on October 15, 2014.

11 Defendants Indicted on Drug and Gun Charges in Schenectady

Eleven defendants were arrested today on federal felony charges arising out of the sale of cocaine base (crack) and firearms in and around Schenectady, New York, announced United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian, Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent in Charge Andrew W. Vale, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Special Agent in Charge Delano A. Reid.

ATF Arrests Twenty-Two Individuals from Three States on Firearms Related Charges

An investigation led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) along with the Marion County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office, resulted in indictments, which include charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm by prohibited individuals.

Beloit Woman Pleads Guilty to Intimidating a Witness

MADISON, WIS. – John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Tiana Williams, 25, Beloit, Wis., pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court in Madison to conspiring to intimidate a witness in connection with a federal heroin investigation.  U.S. District Court Judge James D. Peterson scheduled sentencing for June 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.  Williams faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison.

Philadelphia Man Charged with Robbing Car Title Office

PHILADELPHIA - Jahmal Williams, 27, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was charged today by indictment with robbery which interferes with interstate commerce, brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The charges arise from the defendant’s gunpoint robbery of “Tag It” Tag Agency, a vehicle registration and title transfer company, located at 4973 Lancaster Avenue, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

 PROVIDENCE, R.I. – An ongoing investigation by agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the United States Attorney’s Office has resulted in the arrest and detention of Antonio Fortes, 24, of Cranston, on federal drug trafficking and firearm charges, announced United States Attorney Peter F. Neronha and Daniel J. Kumor, Special Agent in Charge of the Boston Field Division of ATF.

New York City Police Officer and Customs and Border Protection Officer sentenced to Three Years in Prison for International Arms Trafficking

Former New York City Police Officer Rex Maralit and his brother Wilfredo Maralit, a Customs and Border Protection Officer assigned to Los Angeles International Airport, were sentenced earlier today at the federal courthouse in Brooklyn to three years’ imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release for their roles in an illegal scheme to smuggle high-powered assault rifles, sniper rifles, pistols, and firearms accessories from the United States to the Philippines. The defendants pleaded guilty on June 12, 2014, before United States District Judge Allyne R. Ross to violating the Arms Export Control Act. A third brother, Ariel Maralit, resides in the Philippines and remains a fugitive.
